Michael Fellowes

Michael Fellowes writes Young Adult Fantasy and Science Fiction. His work often features characters disempowered by society.

Michael FellowesBiography

Michael Fellowes joined Manchester Speculative Fiction in 2017. Initially, he was surprised to find that decades of writing essays and reports didn’t give him the skills to write fiction.

Determined to learn his craft, he participated in MSF critique meetings, which resulted in his short story, Warbaby, being published in the Revolutions 2 anthology.

Writing

Michael is now seeking agent representation and publication for Scarlet and the White, a young adult novel in which love develops between two teenagers, one deaf and the other Black, who’re trapped alone on an Antarctic expedition base, after an ancient infection escapes.

He is also working on the second draft of his SF/Fantasy novel The Abandoned Earth.
